Strategic Information Management
UNASO is committed towards effective communication, dissemination and organizing platforms for knowledge and experience sharing and learning for civil society actors within and outside Uganda. It involves promoting access to strategic information such as priority areas of the NSP and any other change in policy or practice regarding the national response to HIV and AIDS.
Create a channel of sharing information and experiences among ASOs, between ASOs and Local Governments at district level, such as quarterly information sharing meetings. This creates opportunities for ASOs and Local Governments to jointly draw strategies to address some of the issues identified, leading into a coordinated district response and a strengthened public private partnership.
Reduce information gap among ASOs at all levels through participation in various HIV and AIDS fora through representation if supported regularly to consult and feedback to their constituencies.
Engage in participatory research to generate evidence based information that would assess change in service delivery in three thematic areas of Prevention, Treatment, care and Support. This enables ASOs to influence policy towards improving quality and impact of HIV and AIDS services. Research results to should disseminated to various stakeholders in order to influence change.
Proactively providing periodic updates through the internet, media, leaflets, consultative meetings, learning forum. This will inform programme design and policy dialogue. How the model contribute to the overall UNASO vision, mission and goals.
